A study was conducted on French bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) at the coastal saline zone of West Bengal during winter 2017-18 and 2018-19. The soil texture was clay loam with pH 7.03. A location specific trial was done to standardize the combination dose for French bean towards productivity enhancement. The experiment was laid out in randomized bock design having 3 replications with 12 different treatments.

A field experiment was carried out to evaluate the effect of nitrogen levels and irrigation on the growth and yield of wheat (Treaticum aestivum L. emend fiory and Paol) var.WH-331 in the Bundelkhand region of U.P. The experiment includes two factors such as four irrigation regimes and four nitrogen levels. The treatments were compared under the factorial R.B.D. with three replications. The soil of the experimental field was ''paruwa'' (silty loam) according to the type of Bundelkhand soil having soil pH (7.6) low in available nitrogen and organic carbon; medium in available phosphorus and high in available potassium.

Different levels of fertilizers on growth and yield of cluster bean (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba L.) in rainfed area of Uttar Pradesh, India

Cluster bean [Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (L.) Taub] popularly known as “Guar” is an important legume crop mainly grown under rain fed condition in arid and semi-regions of Rajasthan during kharif season. It is very hardy and drought tolerant crop. Its deep penetrating roots enable the plant to utilize available moisture more efficiently and thus offer better scope for rain fed cropping. It has high calorific and nutritive value and its seed contains 28-32% of gum. Nitrogen also plays an important role in synthesis of chlorophyll and amino acid, which contributes to the building units of protein and thus the growth of plants. Insufficient nitrogen may reduce yield drastically and deteriorates the quality of produce. Cluster bean being a legume crop which has the capacity to fix atmospheric nitrogen by its effective root nodules the major part of nitrogen is met through Rhizobium present in the root nodules.

The experiment comprising of 27 treatment combinations and replicated three times, was laid out in RBD with three fertility levels (0, 50 and 100% of recommended dose of NPK), three treatments of organic manure (control, FYM @ 20 t ha-1 and FYM @ 10 t ha-1 ) and three bio-fertilizers (No inoculation, PSB inoculation and Azospirillum inoculation) were applied in the plots.

Đậu cô ve (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) đã được thuần hóa khoảng 8000 năm trước đây ở châu Mỹ và ngày nay trở thành một loại thực phẩm chính trên phạm vi toàn thế giới. Bên cạnh việc cung cấp năng lượng, đậu cô ve còn là nguồn protein và dinh dưỡng vi lượng cho con người. Nó được sử dụng rộng rãi ở các nước đang phát triển bởi giá thành rẻ hơn protein động vật, lại có thể tồn trữ, bảo quản được thời gian dài hơn.

Dƣới điều kiện nóng cây trồng tích lũy các hợp chất trao đổi chất khác nhau nhƣ các hợp chất kháng ô xy hóa, các chất bảo vệ áp suất thẩm thấu, các protein sốc nhiệt (heat-shock proteins -Hsps) và các hợp chất trao đổi chất từ các chuỗi phản ứng khác (Bokszc-zanin and Fragkostefanakis, 2013). Hsps đóng vai trò truyền tín hiệu bất thuận, bảo vệ và sửa chữa protein bị gây hại, bảo vệ quang hợp cũng nhƣ điều chỉnh phản ứng ô xy hóa khử của tế bào. Sự biểu hiện của rất nhiều Hsps đƣợc biết nhƣ là chiến lƣợc để thích nghi chống chịu nóng. Phản ứng sốc nhiệt đƣợc điều khiển ở hai cấp độ sao mã và dịch mã. Một trình tự cis-acting DNA, yếu tố sốc nhiệt (heat-shock element (HSE) đƣợc xác định là cần thiết cho quá trình sao mã (Nover and Baniwal, 2006). Yếu tố sốc nhiệt HSE có trình tự thống nhất chung –GAA—TTC – và là đa sao chép ngƣợc của tất cả các gen điều khiển chống chịu bất thuận nóng. Khurana et al. (2013) đã đề cập đến mức độ quan trọng của chất hoạt hóa 5‘-UTR của sHsp26 , ông nhấn mạnh có thể vai trò không hoàn hảo của hộp CCAAT hoặc yếu tố cis-element mới phản ảnh bất thuận nóng. Sự biểu hiện của gen HS là gián tiếp gắn chất hoạt hóa sao mã, yếu tố sao mã bất thuận nóng (HSFs). Một số nghiên cứu đã chứng minh các HSFs là tới hạn của bất thuận nhiệt độ, một số khác đóng vai trò nhỏ hơn ( Hsp101 ,

RNR 15048 (Telangana Sona) under varied nitrogen levels and environmental conditions” was carried out during Kharif 2016 at Agricultural Research Institute, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. The experiment was laid out in split plot design with five dates of sowing [5 Jun (D1), 20 Jun (D2), 5Jul (D3), 20Jul (D4) and 5 Aug (D5)] as main plots and two nitrogen levels (N1: 120 kg N ha-1 ; N2: 160 kg N ha-1 ) as sub-plots replicated thrice. Flowering duration of rice was influenced by dates of sowing. With delay in sowing dates the days to attain flowering decreased with decrease in day length from 12.5 to 12.1 hrs. Crop sown on 5 Jun (D1) took more number of days to attain panicle initiation, heading and physiological maturity than other sowing dates.
